[EIC-eRD110] [EXTERNAL] Argonne measurement program consensus document

  Hi Pietro,

sure, all the question marks will be replaced by firm numbers, as well as all other additions better be incorporated in the document on a time scale of a day, otherwise the Argonne measurement program will conclude before we come up with a shiny final version 🙂

  Cheers,
    Alexander.

Thanks Alexander,

I'm not a LAPPD expert but I would suggest you are explicit about magnetic fields and tilting angle (note Zhengqiao's presentation is NOT available on the pointed Indico).

In particular, in previous slides when going to measurements with a given tilting angle the field strength indicated was just B=0.02T that I never understood.

I believe with a given tilting angle alpha, the B field to be tested should be B=B_0*sin(alpha) where B_o=1.7 T (if you can B=2T).

This means that with 10 degrees and a total B=1.7T the transversal component of the magnetic field (== parallel to the MCP plate let's say) should be B=0.3 T ...

My two cents!

Am I wrong?

Best, Pietro

  Dear All,

attached is v00 of the text, which has soft priorities in order to distinguish between the "main" and the "auxiliary" measurements.

I'm willing to incorporate any changes / additions tomorrow (but please turn tracking on in Word). In particular, feel free to provide a paragraph related to the LAPPD tests, which may be of a general interest outside of the EIC community.

  Regards,
    Alexander.
