[Eicatjlab_all_personnel] EIC is Looking for Volunteer for Open House 2024 - Positions Needed

Hello Everyone,

EIC has 3 areas where you can volunteer for the upcoming open house.  See screen shot of these areas list below.

and EIC cryomodules in the Test Lab.
This is not a separate registration – EIC will have a display in the Test Lab – and is open to Test Lab staff only!

There are many other opportunities to support the Open House as well, like setting up, shuttle bus help, etc.

While we thank everyone who has already registered, we are still in need of more than 500 volunteers.

Non-exempt employees who volunteer to support the Open House will be paid for their hours worked. Exempt employees may flex time with their supervisor's approval. However, both non-exempt and exempt employees must log their volunteer hours in their timesheet using the code OPNHSE. If you have any questions about total time reporting and/or overtime, please contact your supervisor.

JSA employees, members of our scientific user community, students, friends and family members who are at least 13 years old can volunteer for a range of assignments. For high school-aged volunteers, this could be a great opportunity them to log those much-needed community service hours before graduation! We are looking to fill a wide variety of roles, from interactive positions requiring specialized knowledge to guiding the flow of pedestrian traffic. Assistance is also needed for day-before setup, welcome tents, and various roles on the accelerator site, Test Lab (staff only), CEBAF Center, guest transportation and flow through lab campus, divisional and partner exhibition booths, specialist positions, and activities.

There are full day (eight hours), or half-day (four hours, morning or afternoon) shifts. Volunteers will receive training before the event and a volunteer shirt to wear on the day of the event. A box lunch will be provided for those who volunteer for an eight-hour shift.
