Dear EIC Team,
As you heard in the All-Hands Meeting last week, the EIC Project has been working with the Lab to develop a strategy to continue project operations in the event of a reduced-staffing situation at the Lab.  The EIC Project (along with other projects at the Lab) is able to support a number of staff and continue to make progress on EIC work.
Given the message from Johnathon yesterday, we will wait to start any implementation of this process until we learn more about plans for future Lab operations.  Our intention is to provide sufficient notice for staff to make arrangements if implementing this contingency plan is necessary, but we still hope for smooth continuity of operations at the Lab.
Regardless of the current uncertainties, the EIC Project remains focused on making good progress on our designs, production, and collaborations.  In the next few months, we have a series of technical design reviews and assessment reviews (including the upcoming Interaction Region Director's/Assessment Review) leading to an important DOE Independent Project Review in March.
Thank you all for your understanding as we work through this together, and for your continued dedication and hard work to support the EIC and JLab.
