EIC Team,

August earned value reporting against the CD-3a baseline is complete.   The Contractor Performance Report (CPR) has been posted on the CAM EVMS site (link is below).  The current period is showing very high cost and schedule variances because we claimed performance for all work-to-date in August, our first month of EVMS.  Future months will reflect only that period data.

Red, yellow and green in columns S & T are stoplight indicators of the performance level.  Green means variances are within -10%/+15% of the plan and red is -15%/+25%.  Yellow is an indicator that it is outside green and trending to red.  These are not used for variance analysis, just as an assessment of the health of the baseline.

The color coding of the variances shown in columns F-G and L-N reflect the measurement of the variance against the project thresholds.  Variance explanations are required monthly for current period and cumulative variances if the values are highlighted red.  The variance thresholds on the project are shown below.  Due to the anomaly in the current period, we are not requiring current period variance explanations this month.  None of the cumulative variances exceeded the thresholds, therefore no explanations will be required this month either.
