[Eng-div] Engineering Division DSO

Everyone,
     For many years I have served as the Division Safety Officer.  This 
has been quite helpful for me personally since it has allowed me (or 
forced me) to learn much more about safety then I ever imagined.  It 
also keeps me in contact with your concerns and challenges in the 
workplace.   However, this duty along with many others I seem to 
accumulate has become too much to do effectively and efficiently.  You 
deserve to have someone who can more actively work with you on safety 
issues day-to-day as well as with some of the big picture items.  So I 
have been seeking a person to become our DSO.

     Henry Robertson has graciously agreed to assume the DSO role as a 
part time duty (~40%) along with his work in the Safety Systems Group.  
Henry is well qualified to do this with his safety systems background, 
his attention to details and general interest in safety.  However, like 
me Henry will have to learn his way into what must be done to support 
such a large and active group as Engineering.  Please give Henry your 
full support, help him learn like you have helped me and wish him luck 
when you see him.

     So for now on please take OSP's and SOP's to Henry for signoff as 
DSO.  I will continue to wear my "STOP/STOPLITE" training cap and you 
can count on seeing me in the field as much as I can get out from under 
the paper.
