Dear Kondo,
I can't be connected - just leaving my office.
My opinion is the same:
1. Double 1 mm MMG (only) detectors, Ar+isobutane(10%), and common cathode
(maybe, should be checked).
2. But the best - SciFibers to solve all problems (but with an additional
R&D, bending fibers in front of  sensors).
