Attached please find for your review draft "ES&H Manual Chapter 6660 
Hazardous Material Transport" and its associated "Appendix T1 Transport 
of Hazardous Material."

 

The Technical Point-of-Contact for these documents is Carl Iannacone, 
Jefferson Lab's Property Manager; as such he played an integral role in 
the development of this material.  Technical reviews were provided by 
(in alphabetical order): Debra Brand, Facilities Management & Logistics 
SOTR Representative; Bill Brisiel, Stockroom Manager; Tom Carstens, 
Physics Hall D; Mike Gelhaar, Facilities Management & Logistics Shipping 
& Receiving; Jack Segal, Physics Hall A; Keith Welch, ESH&Q Radiation 
Control Department; Jennifer Williams, ESH&Q Industrial Hygiene; Neil 
Wilson, Engineering.

 

These documents have been drafted to provide Jefferson Lab's 
requirements and procedures for safely transporting or shipping 
hazardous material.

 

It is asked that you provide these documents to affected members of your 
organization for review.  Any comments are to be directed to the ES&H 
Manual Editor (Mbailey at jlab.org <mailto:Mbailey at jlab.org>) by December 
2, 2011.  If you have no input at this time a "no comment" response 
would be appreciated but is not required.
