The Technical Point-of-Contact for this material is Dana Arenius, Senior 
Cryogenics Coordinator for Jefferson Lab. Technical reviews were 
provided by Smitty Chandler, Occupational Medicine; Dave Kashy, Physics; 
Dave Kausch, Fire Protection Engineer; Tina Menefee, Emergency Manager; 
Kelly Mahoney, Safety Systems Group Leader; Robert May, Deputy Director 
ESH&Q; Rusty Sprouse, Facilities & Logistics Manager; and Jennifer 
Williams, Industrial Hygiene. Others who were given opportunities to 
provide comments included Michael Drury, Cryomodule and Fabrication 
Group; Vashek Vylet, Radiation Control Manager; and Mathew Wright 
Cryogenics Group. Comments were incorporated as appropriate.

 

These documents were reviewed December 2009, with no substantive 
comments.  However, because of events beyond my control, they were never 
submitted for approval. 

 

As a reminder, the content has been separated from "ES&H Manual Chapter 
6500 Cryogenic and ODH Safety" as it was recognized that oxygen 
deficiency hazards are associated with more than just cryogenics.  

 

It is asked that you provide these documents to affected members of your 
organization for review.  Any comments are to be directed to the ES&H 
Manual Editor (MBailey at jlab.org <mailto:MBailey at jlab.org>) by September 
28, 2011. If you have no input at this time a "no comment" response 
would be appreciated but is not required.
