The Technical Point-of-Contact for these documents is Dick Owen, Silica 
Subject Matter Expert, as such he has played in integral role in the 
development of this material.Technical reviews were provided by (in 
alphabetical order): Paul Collins, 12 GeV Safety; John Kelly, 
Engineering Safety Liaison; Bob Sperlazza, Facilities Management & 
Logistics (FM&L); Michael Sprouse, FM&L; Scott Thompson, Engineering 
Division; Ned Walker, FM&L Liaison; Jennifer Williams, Industrial 
Hygiene; and Neil Wilson, Engineering Division.

This is new material. It has been drafted in response to the newly 
recognized hazard issue -- Silica.

It is asked that you provide these documents to affected members of your 
organization for review.Any comments are to be directed to the ES&H 
Manual Editor (mbailey at Jlab.org <mailto:mbailey at Jlab.org>) by May 29, 
2012.If you have no input at this time a "no comment" response would be 
appreciated, but is not required.
