Subject: ESR Usage

All:

As many of you know, there was a fire in the CHL today
that caused significant damage to one of the compressors (C-6).
The CHL staff are working now to decouple the damaged
compressor and, if possible, recover using the 5 remaining
units.  To that end, they are using the tanks and dewars in the
end station refrigeration to help cache helium while this work
is being conducted.

At the moment, they have balanced their efforts against our
current use of the ESR.  They have asked that we make NO
CHANGES to our use of the ESR for the next several days
or until we have been notified that the current problems have
been resolved.

I've CCed Jonathan Creel on this e-mail so that he can correct
anything that might have been lost in translation.
