Analysis of hall A leak shows that we were loosing about 0.05atm over a 2 hr period with an estimated volume of 3000 liters in the helium circuit this translates to:

 292g of helium per day
equivalent to
2.3 liters / day 
equvalent to 
4400$/year

That's not too bad, and considering Hall B is showing a slight pressure increase and Hall C is 5 times lower loss rate it seems that ALL the Halls are pretty tight. Disclaimer: past and present performance is not a guarantee of future performance... so we must be vigilant


With all that said Hall A will replace the leaking relief valves

As far as the blip yesterday, we have not been able to positively identify the cause, but I suspect that a valve was opened to the ESR system and thus the pressure dropped down to the same pressure.

The current update from Cryo is for the recovery compressors to be started at 3pm and we should be ready to get back on line by 3:30.
