The following Control System Outage has been Confirmed:

Outage:      Honeywell Virtual Servers Not Communicating with All Site Controllers

Description/Impacts:
This afternoon the Honeywell Server did not restore communications with most of the controllers connected after both Honeywell virtual servers were rebooted this afternoon.  I rebooted both servers after the OPC Client Server file was moved to improve reliability.  The OPC Client Server is the software that transfers point information from the Honeywell System to the Accelerator EPICS System.  Honeywell UDC industrial controllers are communicating and will generate alarms if such conditions occur.  Most vital LCW system parameters are controlled and monitored by UDC controllers (differential pressure, temperature, and conductivity).  Honeywell technical support should restore communication sometime during the night.

All site controllers are functional, but many cannot be seen remotely or generate alarm messages if malfunctions occur.  Service building, Counting Room, and experimental hall temperatures are not accessible remotely until communication issues are resolved.  LCW critical operational parameters can be seen remotely and will generate remote alarms.
