[Frost] Help

Hi,

I am having problems simulating data for frost. I thought my problems
might be due to how everything is set up on my ASU machine, but that does
not appear to be the case. I am having the same problems when running the
software on the Jlab CUE. I am probably just doing something stupid, and
I'm hoping that someone can set me straight.

It would be useful if I could obtain a file of generated events and an
example of commands and scripts that are known to work on the Jlab CUE. My
strategy is to get the software working on the CUE and then test the
results against that obtained from my ASU machine.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

My problem:
My event generator has 4 banks (HEAD MCTK MCVX TAGR). When I run gsim I
get 11 banks (HEAD DC0 DOCA EC MCEV MCTK MCVX SC STN0 STN1 TAGR). When I
run user_ana I do not get any reconstructed banks. In fact, it appears
that user_ana just passes through the original 11 banks coming from the
gsim file and no other banks are created.

What I did on the Jlab CUE:
* cvs co  packages/tests/frost

* placed the frost directory obtained by cvs at
/work/clas/disk2/dugger/mcTest/frost

* placed an event generator file eta_all.100001.psg.evt in the
frost directory

* Sourced some clasg9 files:
source /home/clasg9/.cshrc
source /home/clasg9/set_cook_env

* Ran gsim:
gsim_bat -trig 100 -ffread gsim_frost.ffread \
-run 55521 -kine 1 -mcin ./eta_all.100001.psg.evt \
-bosout gsimOut.bos

* made a symbolic link:
ln -s gsimOut.bos infile

* ran user_ana:
user_ana -t recinit_gsim.tcl

Thanks for your time.

Sincerely,
Michael
