Dear Paul,
Dear Paul,
Thank you for taking a time to read and comment on our note.
As you well know our analysis has already its own history of
ancient times, middle ages and modern time.
So the modern time, one year analysis review has been finalized just
a few months ago. There are no doubts raised on the validity of
both g11 data analysis and phi Monte Carlo performed based on
Titov-Lee model. The only question that remained to be clarified
is related to the application of the t-cut. Secondly the committee
and subsequently CLAS Coordination Committee have suggested
to look at g12 data to see if similar resonance structure persits in
a new data set.
Nobody, including us, is able to explain appearence of
statistically very significant anomaly in the missing mass of kshort.
This a bottom line of the modern era.
As for the Bellis analysis, I believe his work was shown to
have some problems that were not addressed, including
the fact that his proton momenta were not sensible, etc.
We can resurrect that whole debate if you want, but
I think it is now well established that MC simulations
do not lead to a peak at that location. The other thing
to realize is that we have dramatically loosened our cuts
since the time when Matt Bellis did his analysis.
Best regards,
Moskov.
p.s. it seems my message doesn't go to g12 mailing list
