Hi Alberto,
Thanks for the suggestion and we are of course happy to implement it.
Regarding the bullets, we (me, Martha, David, and Christian) do see these as "pre-conditions" for a merger of the two groups, that the whole Coordination Committee should reach agreement on.
When we discuss and hopefully finalize these bullets in our meeting this afternoon, our plan is to send them to the "LBL" group Monday morning. Then, the LBL group is welcome to suggest changes, which we can accept/decline/discuss. To me these bullets are just pre-requisites for a strong proposal, so if the two groups cannot reach agreement on them, then we have different visions for a strong proposal and merging will be difficult.
So as I see it, our task today is to finalize the set of "key points"/"guiding principles"/"pre-conditions". Then, if the two groups can reach agreement on these points, or reasonable modifications of them, then merging our groups should be straightforward and we should proceed with a merger. However, if we cannot reach agreement, then any merger is paused or perhaps even abandoned.
Anyway, happy to discuss more at our meeting today and finalized our next steps.
Cheers, Ian
