Gluon Distribution
TK presented results looking at the phenomenologically expected ITD from the NNLO PDF gluon (and flavor-singlet) distributions. There seem to be a significant difference between the data with and without including the singlet-quark contribution. AR raised the issue as to why the heavier (c,b) contributions were included. He then showed the comparison between the phenomenological curve and the gluon distribution. AR emphasized that we should look at the magnitude of the matching contribution before a comparison with the phenomenology.
Transversityy
WM and AR presented an update on the one-loop transversity matching, and its application to the lattice data. AR noted that, as per the unpolarized PDF distribution shown by CE, the log-z dependence is not apparent in the data at small z, presumably due to discretization effects, e.g. log z dependence cannot be reproduced at finite lattice spacing which we need to understand. Lattice PT? CE asked how these issues should be addressed in the various presentations that people were giving. Be honest without giving any games away?
AOB
• DR and KO reported that CNF was submitting a proposal to a DOE NP AI call; one component of the response would be a "lattice-contained GPDs" as input to data analysis. WM would request two-year support for graduate student to apply NNPDF framework to GPD data as function of x. One thing we would need to be careful about was the sharing of data, and the DMP would have to explicit set the ground rules for this.
• USQCD report on our proposal had been received. ER had immediately drafted a response to one of the questions!
Next Meeting
Wed 21st April. NB CNF talks would probably be advanced by one hour to 10am.
