I know that many of you are on either the lattice mailing list or the USQCD mailing list or both, but I wanted to re-emphasise what Andreas has emphasised below and share this.

If there is any possibility at all that you may go to Lattice 2025, you should pre-register now. There is no consequence if you pre-register and don't go. But if you don't pre-register, the consequence is that you definitely can't go.

I have pre-registered, even though I am unsure whether I can attend.

Regards,
Chris

Dear all,

Nilmani Mathur asked me to help him emphasize that everyone who is not a national of India must pre-register at https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.tifr.res.in_lattice2025_&d=DwIGaQ&c=CJqEzB1piLOyyvZjb8YUQw&r=phC8jtUHUVIl1OXaA25HKnc5L16EvLwhrqx4rXYGPWA&m=Tptalky1mDTeEzgSlBQSkcfp4su4u1v-nsup5evhJD6ZTOyjHqZ6q4jm9pwOTkds&s=G38sUVmzva6woNehxa9HqVHK1pInQ548mYcZX3Ul3JA&e= . Otherwise your attendance at Lattice 2025 will be impossible.

Nilmani appreciates that in the US we are all nervous about funding, international travel, etc. But who knows how it will be ~6 months from now, when planning the trip? On the other hand, if you don't pre-register now, it will be too late to do it then, which would a shame.

Pre-registration takes very little time.

If you want to know the details, I include the first Bulletin, which was sent to latticenews-l at list.iu.edu in February. For questions, contact Nilmani, cc-ed. Cheers,

     Andreas

PS if you aren't a subscriber of latticenews-l at list.iu.edu, contact Steven Gottlieb <sg at indiana.edu>

Dear colleagues,

Lattice 2025 will be held at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai from November 03 to November 08, 2025.

We are looking forward to a stimulating programme of talks, posters, discussions, and other activities. Before the programme announcement, we would like to draw your attention to some logistical details, particularly those related to visas for foreign nationals.
Further information can be found at

This is the preliminary webpage for Lattice 2025, mainly for pre-registration (see below) and some preliminary information. Information about the main indico webpage will be circulated soon.

Important information about Visa (and entry to TIFR) for foreign nationals.

Pre-Registration:
We strongly urge all non-Indian nationals to pre-register, at the earliest opportunity, even if you are unsure of your attendance at Lattice 2025.
There is no fee for pre-registration. The purpose of this pre-registration is to facilitate the visa process (conference/business/research visa).

As TIFR is an institute under the Department of Atomic Energy, all foreign nationals require a conference/business/research visa to enter its premises; an e-visa will not suffice for visiting TIFR. To simplify the visa process, we will collect the necessary information through this pre-registration, which will be submitted to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), India. Once MEA approval is obtained, visa processing will be significantly easier. Without the MEA approval, obtaining a conference/business/research visa may be challenging, Pre-registration will greatly facilitate the process. Having a valid visa invitation letter is beneficial, as its absence could present significant challenges if you decide to attend. Once you complete the registration at a later stage (beginning May 16, 2025), you will receive an invitation letter that you can use for your visa application.

All Indian-origin foreign nationals, with OCI status, also need to pre-register. This will be required for your entry to TIFR.
Pre-registration is not necessary for Indian nationals.

Pre-registration is now available on the conference webpage:
https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.tifr.res.in_lattice2025_&d=DwIGaQ&c=CJqEzB1piLOyyvZjb8YUQw&r=phC8jtUHUVIl1OXaA25HKnc5L16EvLwhrqx4rXYGPWA&m=Tptalky1mDTeEzgSlBQSkcfp4su4u1v-nsup5evhJD6ZTOyjHqZ6q4jm9pwOTkds&s=G38sUVmzva6woNehxa9HqVHK1pInQ548mYcZX3Ul3JA&e=

For any questions on pre-registration please send an email to lattice2025 at tifr.res.in<mailto:lattice2025 at tifr.res.in>

Here are some important dates:

* Pre-registration opens: February 18, 2025
