Minutes of Hall A Group Meeting March 5, 2013
1)	Doug Higinbotham
a)	News from this morning?s senior staff meeting:
i)	So far we?ve received no guidance re the sequestration
(1)	The highest priority is protecting our workforce
ii)	Ernie Moniz has been nominated as the new head of DOE
iii)	Discussions are underway about an injector test 
facility (up to 10 MeV?)
iv)	NSAC meets this Friday and Saturday (3/8-9)
(1)	New members will include our Patrizia Rossi
(2)	New facilities are expected to be:
(a)	FRIB (ready to go)
(b)	EIC (still need some R&D)
v)	Putting together the year?s highlights for DOE
vi)	Lab has received many LDRD letters of intent. Projected 
to amount to proposals for 3 times the available funding
2)	Whit Seay
a)	DVCS:
i)	Waiting approval on some drawing packages
ii)	Expect to put out 2 more this week
b)	Gmp: need information on the collimator
c)	SBS:
i)	Continuing on the magnet iron
ii)	Making good progress on the counter-weight base
iii)	Looking at beam line solenoids
d)	PREX: 
i)	providing information re shielding
ii)	Working on collimator cooling concept
e)	Compton: working through some issues with Elliot
3)	Jessie Butler
a)	Cryogenics is up and we?re working on it
b)	Generally moving along with installation
4)	Bert Manzlak
a)	Put up the flood gates tonight, heavy rain is expected
b)	Reminds all to check if they have any outstanding training. 
Take the training or, if you think the training requirement 
is obsolete, see your supervisor about changing your 
training requirements
5)	Doug Higinbotham
a)	Gives summary of SRC-EMC Workshop
