Minutes of Hall A Group Meeting March 26, 2013
1)	Thia Keppel
a)	From the senior staff meeting
i)	We are in a ?Continuing Resolution?. We are currently at 
the end of the 1st 6 months and haven?t yet received the 
money for the next. We expect a small amount any day, but 
won?t get the full amount for next 6 months till 10 April 
(and we don?t know how much that will be). For now, don?t 
buy anything. Naturally, emergencies will be considered on 
a case by case basis.
ii)	Property and Key validation is ongoing. The deadline is 
approaching. If you haven?t done it yet, please do it 
soon.
iii)	Newsletter went out to the users. They?re collecting 
suggestions re format and subject matter for future issues 
iv)	MOU?s have been held up for some time, particularly 
foreign ones. The lab is pushing and they?re starting to 
move again.
v)	The stockroom has compiled a list of items that have been 
kept in stock for 2 years or more but no one has needed. 
Some things will be eliminated from stock.
vi)	Accelerator test lab is moving forward
vii)	Report by Chris Keith indicates that the Tritium target 
is looking good.
b)	Compton Laser Lab is moving out of the Arc into storage at 
least until June. No work on Compton optics till then.
2)	Robin Wines
a)	SBS:
i)	In the process of making the magnet transfer (gives some 
details)
ii)	Kinematic layouts are done and passed to Bogdan, 
iterating
(1)	Soon will lock in the magnet modifications
iii)	Continuing with design of counter weight etc. design
b)	12 GeV:
i)	Continuing support of the Compton Upgrade
ii)	Working on the raster system
c)	DVCS/GMp:
i)	All parts but the target wire are either in procurement or 
already ordered
ii)	Design work is done. Do we need a design or readiness 
review?
(1)	Experiment needs to submit paperwork to Patrizia 
who will set up a readiness review.
d)	Started work on Polarized 3He target. Sent files to UVa re 
magnet coils
e)	Continuing with HRS detector work
f)	Working on APEX magnet
g)	SOLID: have more details now will work on as manpower is 
available
3)	Ed Folts
a)	Continuing with Cryo work
b)	Recabling
c)	Connecting beam line components
d)	Working on the target chamber
e)	Doing inventory work
4)	Bob Michaels gives report on the CREX workshop of last week
