Minutes of Hall A Group Meeting May 21, 2013
1)	Thia Keppel
a)	 From the senior staff meeting:
i)	Budgets: 
(1)	austerity measures are helping
(2)	looks OK through the year
(3)	prioritize 12 GeV labor
(4)	Summer vacations are still encouraged
ii)	Graham Heyes will be looking at computer needs for the 
Halls. Expect another inquiry. Probably no changes for 
Hall A.
iii)	Thursday (5/23) TAC meeting within Physics
iv)	PAC will get some short reports on the status of 
various Physics topics at the lab
v)	MOU?s are making progress
vi)	Plan to use the CLEO magnet for SOLID
vii)	Chris Cuevas developing Physics Electronics Equipment 
Repair (PEER) system to track repairs to various 
electronics components
b)	Applicant schedule is out
c)	Laser lab can have equipment moved into it, but still not 
ready for people (AC needs some work still)
d)	SOLID Collaboration meeting this Friday
e)	SBS Collaboration meeting June 4-5
2)	Robin Wines
a)	Raster drawings have been revised. Now Ed can make the 
parts.
b)	Compton gamma detector work continues
c)	HRS detector assembly drawing work continues
d)	SBS:
i)	Floor plates
ii)	Coil drawings
iii)	Power supply spec being reviewed
iv)	No news from Brookhaven re moving the magnet and steel. 
Bogdan to send an e-mail requesting feedback.
v)	Preparing for the Collaboration meeting
e)	Hall transformer, working on a cost estimate
f)	DVCS/GMp:
i)	Al looked at other angles for collaboration meeting
ii)	Parts mostly waiting to be ordered
g)	Moving parts into the new CAD system
h)	Preparing for the SOLID collaboration meeting
i)	Polarized 3He target meeting today (5/21)
j)	Have more information on the 3H target venting system. Can 
start work on it.
3)	Ed Folts
a)	Cleaning out transportainers
b)	Getting material for the raster system
c)	Cabling at the pivot
d)	Cryo-cabling
e)	Local control hardware work
4)	Patrizia Rossi
a)	Working through some OSP issues
b)	Have a preliminary ESAD, going through it.
