Minutes of Hall A Group Meeting September 3, 2013
1)	Thia Keppel
a)	New Hall Safety documents and training drafts are being sent 
around. Please review them and send feedback to 
lerose at jlab.org
b)	It?s time to start getting the Hall ready for beam. This 
implies readiness reviews, assorted documentation, safety 
system checklists, etc. (will try to follow the Accelerator 
Hot Checkout procedures)
i)	Start by looking at your part of the Hall A Ops manual and 
updating it

c)	Luke Meyers, the new Hall A Post-Doc is now here. He?s 
sitting in A112
d)	We can now move into the Counting House
e)	Don?t buy anything!
2)	Doug Higinbotham
a)	Will need 5 volunteers to act as tour guides in the Hall 
during the APS DNP meeting in October
3)	Robin Wines
a)	SBS:
i)	Coil drawings are done. The spec is being reviewed. Should 
be to procurement by the end of this week.
ii)	Evaluating holes in the steel as shipped from 
Brookhaven (not the same as in drawings)
iii)	Hydraulics system REQ is in
iv)	Holding on floor plates till next FY
v)	Overall design concept moving ahead
vi)	Still trying to get lifting hardware etc. from 
Brookhaven
vii)	GRINCH drawing and design continues
b)	Transitioning to NX software
c)	Meeting in the next one or two weeks with Jim Napolitano re 
the Møller high field target
4)	Ed Folts
a)	Moving DVCS stand and associated electronics
b)	More laser lab work will be done later this week
c)	Moving electronics out of the TED high bay area into the 
Testlab
d)	Unpacking from move from the trailer
e)	Cryo system progress, we now have valve control
5)	Bert Manzlak
a)	Reminds all to perform task hazard analysis as in halist for 
all new setups.
