Minutes of Hall A Group Meeting: July 17, 2018

1. Thia Keppel
   a. No Senior Staff meeting

2. Robin Wines
   a. APEX/PREX/CREX
     i. Some plastic shielding going into procurement
     ii. Continue on concrete shielding and dump shielding
     iii. Near completion on collimator and sieves
   b. BB – detector frame parts put into machine shop
   c. SBS
     i. Checking welding design of tower extensions to put into procurement
     ii. Getting assembly hardware defined for procurement

3. Jessie Butler
   a. Continue with re-wiring on APEX magnet
   b. Ordered O-ring material and compression seal needed to repair L-HRS exit window
   c. Working on cool down
   d. Began receiving nitrogen flow on Monday to start cooling the magnets down
   e. Installed lead flags on magnets
   f. Finished welding up Cherenkov extension box and delivered to machine shop so that they can finish 
           machining and cut out o-ring groove
   g. Worked on setting up and pumping vacuum systems
   h. Work in the dump area continued through the week
   i. Safety Systems Group performed testing on the hall’s ODH system
   j. Took delivery of GEM detector frame that will be used during the SBS era of experiments

4. Jack Segal
   a. Support of HCAL detector work in Test Lab
   b. Delay cable shelving order placed, will assemble when received
   c. Detector lift and rearrangement pending, will work with INFN group to remove trigger scintillator when 
           ready
   d. Mounting brackets, drills and taps on hand to mount HV boxes when needed (HV boxes in process of being 
           built by Fast Electronics)
   e. Request for multimode fiber cable from BCM receiver in labyrinth to rack in hall behind shielding blocks
