Minutes of Hall A Group Meeting: July 28, 2020

1.     Thia Keppel

     *   Senior Staff
        *   Machine – lots of problems!
           *   Still likely 1 – 2 weeks (not official)
           *   No answer for what happens if we slide the start, depends on what happens
           *   Assume total run time maintained
        *   Tech Transfer TRC meeting this week
        *   Task force being created to oversee long shut down
           *   One Program Deputy
           *   Not a formal DOE project
        *   8/7 Office of Enforcement Meeting
           *   Also SoLID pre-R&D meeting
        *   Supervisor safety questionnaire
        *   DOE labs have had some safety issues recently
           *   No/less walk-thrus during COVID
           *   Less safety worries on site
        *   EIC – risk workshop this next Thursday (Steve & Jessie attending)
           *   9/9 – 9/11 OPA status review

2.     Robin Wines

a.      SBS

        *   ordering remaining small parts for beamline connections, submitted extra beamline shielding job to machine shop, ordered floor plates (tried to get highway plates, none in storage in our region)
        *   GMn clamshells delivered, ordering other parts for window.
        *   BB detector support extension drawings in checking
        *   corrugated beamline hanger analysis and drawings in checking
        *   lead wall modification analysis in checking
        *   cryo disconnect drawings in checking
        *   LCW hangers complete
        *   working on drawings of BB sieve holder
        *   working on design modification of BB field clamp
        *   completed layout of recent survey points for items in the Hall
        *   provided more geometry to Radcon for radiation analysis
        *   completed mods to ECal cooling test drawings

b.     SoLID- continue on coil test piping and CCR plumbing


c.      MOLLER- continue preparations for reviews



3.     Jessie Butler

     *   Received and QA’d more parts for SBS.
     *   Continue welding together entrance beamline work platform.
     *   Continue fabricating parts for LCW water manifold platform.
     *   Check over vacuum systems.
     *   Checked out FSD interfaces and beamline valve operation.
     *   Review drawings from design team and continue to work on procedures for decommissioning RHRS.
     *   Additional work: S&A came down and mapped the area behind the green wall so that we can better understand where RHRS will be parked.
     *   The main AHU went down and FLM is working on the repair.
