[Halla_parity] PREX status

Brief status update on PREX commissioning:

o After long effort, Jack Segal and Javier Gomez have found and fixed the
problem with LQ2. All spectrometer magnets are now working, though LQ2 and
RQ2 must be cycled only to 1000 A.

o We have had some success in commissioning low current operation of the
cavity monitors, and completion of this is in progress. We can run down to
about 25 nA and there's hope of getting down to 5 nA.

o 2 GEM planes are working with efficiency crudely measured at >~ 50%.
Improving efficiency and getting more planes working to be done but seems
straightforward.

o Quartz detector checkout is proceeding well; we have 1 channel not working
for reasons not yet clear.

o Tonight we'll aim to get pointing data with the water target, sieves in
and then sieves out.

o The plan is to get plenty of good optics data before Tuesday day shift,
when we are down for beam studies and will remove the water target.
