[Halla_running] [New Logentry] Experiment status and plans

Yesterday the injector group did a high statistics Mott measurement of the polarization in the injector.  Following that we went back to production.  We ran well overnight amassing 3.7 Coulombs.  Unfortunately we lost more than an hour to an epics gateway issue which prevented us from reading back the temperature on the collimator.  We had Compton background rates that increased overnight and had a large asymmetry.

We had been given authorization by management to increase the beam current on the lead targets up to 85 microamps, as long as the collimator water outlet temperature remains below 80 degrees C.  The injector group optimized transmission at the new current.  We are currently steering the Compton chicane to improve background rates.

The planned Wien flip has been cancelled.  We will continue with production for the majority of the remaining time with potentially a few systematic studies.
