[Halla_running] [New Logentry] RC Report 2-8-23

Sadly we have no update on production running. We are still waiting for beam and Ops are still working on diagnosing the machine.

Ops worked on the machine yesterday day and swing. At the end of swing and early into owl we started some beam checkout and beam tests for Hall A. However, current ramping to Hall A was causing BLM trips again and at around 4am ops called to say MCC would not deliver beam to Hall A for the rest of the night.

This morning Ops and experts have been working on the accelerator beam optics and transport issues. They will try again today to figure out the issues and work towards delivering beam to Hall A.

After discussing with the next RC we are not calling an RC meeting this afternoon, since the current experiment status is unlikely to change before then. If someone would like to have the meeting though let me know. Also, if the situation changes and there is the need for a meeting, this afternoon I will send an e-mail to halla_running.
