Yesterday beam studies with the Hall A Compton ate up the Day Shift. MCC took a few hours to tune the machine which apparently was a good use of time. The trip rate is low and Hall B claims their beam quality from harp scans is exceptional. 
We have suffered with DAQ crashes since late swing. Jacob checked the logs and found that the GEM FPP L5 G0 top 5-slot backplane was causing issues and decided to comment it out. For now we are not using it, but we can look at it when the hall is open next.
Andrew and Jacob brought the beam back at 15uA and put the ECal threshold at 60% which gave a livetime of 85%. They then adjusted the ECal threshold to 65% with livetime 95% and that is where we ran overnight and continue.
We have not been able to take advantage of the good beam for most of day shift due to DAQ issues. Experts have been evaluating it since 8:30AM and continue at present 10:30AM. We are hopeful that we can find a stable configuration over the weekend.
Andrew was able to confirm that the new calibrations, in fact, had the effect they were expected to taking the average E/p close to 1. We hope to soon have a new elastic calibration for ECal.

* Total Accumulated Charge at Kin3 since yesterday : 0.37 C
