[Hallc] [New Logentry] Hall C RC update - Friday, August 17

Beam restoration is proceeding and the nominal plan is still to send beam to the halls Monday.

The HMS Cerenkov window was replaced, and the Cerenkov re-installed in the detector stack today.  After the downstream beamline was installed and aligned yesterday, Dave Meekins came in late to start pumping on the scattering chamber. Unfortunately, a leak was found at the chamber window exit - hopefully, this can be fixed over the weekend. If so - we will cool the target and proceed with preparations for locking up Hall C Monday evening. 

Shift safety documentation is available via the Hall C web page. Before taking shift, workers must read the COO, ESAD, ERG, and RSAD. Once you have read these documents, make sure to sign the signature sheet in the yellow binder in the Counting House.

A Hall C walk-through is still scheduled for Monday at 10 am. Please contact Joe Beaufait (beaufait at jlab.org) if you wish to do the walk-through.
