Dear Hall C Users,

As presently planned, the last week of the Spring 2018 running period
(March 16-23) in Hall C will be used by E12-09-017 (Transverse Momentum
Dependence of Semi-Inclusive Pion Production). This experiment is not
part of the Hall C "Commissioning Experiments", but will run as part of
a separate rungroup that will also include E12-09-002 (Charge Symmetry
Violating Quark Distributions via Precise Measurement of π+/π− Ratios in
Semi–inclusive Deep Inelastic Scattering) and E12-09-011 (Studies of the
L-T Separated Kaon Electroproduction Cross Section from 5-11 GeV).

This 3-experiment rungroup will also have about 11 weeks of running in
the Fall of 2018.  To be eligible as an author for all three experiments
(for data taken in the spring and fall 2018 run period) we request that
collaborators take 12 shifts (owl shifts will be given extra weight).
Any shifts that collaborators take during the last week of the Spring
run will count towards the 12 shift quota.

All interested Hall C Users are welcome to sign up for shifts for this
next set of experiments.  These experiments will require thorough
understanding of efficiencies in the SHMS, require use of the SHMS at
its smallest angle (5.5 degrees in the Fall 2018 run period), and be the
first dedicated LT-separation experiment in Hall C in the 12 GeV era -
please join the effort to help the Hall C standard equipment take the
next step towards its full capabilities!

Regards,
Dave Gaskell, for the SIDIS/Kaon-LT rungroup spokepersons
