Dear Colleagues,
As you probably know, we have a second run period for GEn and A_LL from August 14th - Oct. 10th. The shift schedule is about 10% filled. As a reminder, the shift-authorship policy is listed at the top of the shift signup page, but here is a summary. With the right combination of shifts you can be an author on all three EM nucleon FFs.
1) The current shift requirements for GMn, GEn and GEp are 10, 15 and 15 shifts, respectively, for inclusion on a paper for each experiment.
2) The new policy permits fulfilling the shift requirement for a particular (primary) SBS experiment (GMn, GEn-II, GEp-V) by combining shifts taken on ANY of the SBS experiments.
3) A minimum of 3 shifts is still required on the actual experiment on which the collaborator seeks authorship.
4) For those wanting to gain authorship on both GEn and GEp, a combination totaling 25 shifts is needed. This is a reduction from the 15 + 15 = 30 from the #1 requirement above as long as the individual meets the #3 requirement as well.
Please sign up for shifts to help the collaboration finish the only large Q2 measurement of GEn, which will not likely be repeated in my (and maybe your) lifetime! Don’t you want to know where the charge of the neutron lives?? Use the link below to access the SBS-GEN webpage for the link to the shift signup. Invite your colleagues and share the link.
