In the early days of the use of the version control software git at JLab, the server hallcgit.jlab.org was setup to provide a git server for Hall C related projects.  Software such as hcana, simc and many personal projects were hosted on hallcgit.  In the meantime GitHub, and now JLab's instance of GitLab (https://code.jlab.org/) are the preferred hosts for git repositories.  Hallcgit has seen little use in several years.

The operating system and the git server software on hallcgit are quite old and would need to be updated.  Rather than do this, hallcgit has been shut down.

I have made backups of all the git repositories that were hosted on hallcgit.  Please contact me if you would like to retrieve any repositories that were on hallcgit, or if you would like help moving those repositories to GitLab or GitHub.
