Beam was useful up until mid swing shift yesterday. Then the beam current to C was lowered to ensure stability but that did not help much. The progress of data taking was slowed down and pretty much stalled sometime during the night. We slowly moved through the last 2 SHMS momentum settings at 33 deg but we are not done yet. We are now down for beam studies. We did get couple of hours of mostly useful parasitic beam after 9 am this morning during beam studies. Beam delivery to the hall will be resumed starting with 4 pm. We will finish up the last momentum setting in SHMS at 33 deg with negative polarity and then we will change to positive polarity in SHMS for charge symmetric background measurements.

Yesterday at the end of the day shift we finished the HMS data taking with negative polarity and changed to positive polarity to measure the charge symmetric background at 59 deg. We are still at our first of the 2 momentum settings. After the background measurements are done we plan to use HMS for boiling studies (+ few trigger and Cherenkov efficiency tests).

Tomorrow there will be no beam during the day shift to allow for RF recovery and a fix having to do with the 1L13 vacuum pump.
