As of ~20:00 this evening, we've started taking data on our first physics setting of the PionLT experiment!

Beam throughout the day has been good and we've progressed through the run plan nicely. Hopefully that will be the story through the night!

Announcements/Notices -

Following discussion with Steve L and Garth H, we will NOT have an access tomorrow to rotate early. Instead we will do it on schedule, tentatively this is scheduled for Saturday morning at 09:00, we'll see how the run plan goes. The other good news is that for this particular angle, we can do it remotely under supervision. I'll update on timings tomorrow when I can.

We will have a meeting at 10:00 tomorrow, apologies for this being a change from what was announced in the meeting today.

As soon as we switch to negative polarity, Simona wants to take a look at the noble gas. Similarly, when we lose beam for ~1 hour tomorrow (unclear when yet, but should know tomorrow morning after the 07:45), Simona wants to tweak a HGC voltage. I'll be in touch when timings are clearer. The negative polarity switch will be at some point over the weekend if all things go well.

We're looking at being down for ~1 shift on Monday for Hall D setup related work, any non urgent hall entries people need, this will be your time.

Thanks for all the help from various people to resolve the issues we've run into today. A computer fan getting jealous of the alarms getting all of the attention and making the worst racket in (Hall C) history is a new one...
