A fairly frustrating period since the last update.

After the HMS Q3 power supply issues last night were resolved, we had excellent beam for a couple of hours. Unfortunately, beam was a bit trippier through early Owl and it only got worse from there. Linac issues took the beam down at around 04:00, experts were called, the accelerator folks were busy and eventually, we got beam back around 45 minutes ago (~15:00). So far, the beam has been pretty good since it came back, hopefully it'll stay that way since we need ~5-6 hours of beam still before we do our SHMS rotation to 6.26 degrees.

Whenever we get that rotation out of the way, the plan is just to keep taking data until we lose beam for scheduled Hall D setup work on Monday morning. This is currently scheduled to start at ~04:00. My plan is to request we get a sweep and drop to controlled access at around 11:00 on Monday. This should give RadCon time to finish up anything they need to do elsewhere. Given that Joe wants to work on the target camera, this should give time for the target and pivot to cool off a little too. If anyone wants access earlier than that, let me know and I can try to get it arranged. I plan to get the hall closed up and go back to beam permit around 17:00, this does depend upon how long they think the Hall D work will take though. So far, the estimates on the time this will take has been a little vague. I'll provide an update when I know more on that front.

I do not expect we will be at the point where we switch the SHMS to negative polarity before we lose beam on Monday.

Following the discussion at the RC meeting on Friday, I let the PD know that we can wait till mid to late next week for our arc energy measurement.

No RC meeting tomorrow, but we'll have one on Monday at 10:00.

Other than that, the only thing to announce is that we're planning to do a BCM calibration tomorrow, beam quality permitting. Have a great rest of the weekend and I'll see those of you not on shift on Monday!
