Yesterday during the day shift we completed data taking with Be in SHMS at -9.2 GeV and 10 degrees while some hodoscope paddles are OFF but all the pre shower blocks are ON as part a small test. Then we switched to the section 4.11 of the run plan where we take data in the HMS at various momenta and 35 degrees with Boron targets only (BC4-10, BC4-11). While HMS was taking data at setting 1 (-3.09 GeV) at 35 deg with BC4-11, the day shift crew performed SHMS trigger rate - rescale tests at 8.5 degrees (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4091058). They then parked the SHMS at 11 degrees to take data with the Boron targets simultaneously with HMS. Around 20:00, the swing shift crew switched to BC4-10 target and we're about 1-1.5 hrs away from finishing it as of 8 am this morning.

The swing shift crew had a minor issue with the SHMS DAQ; TS02 connection error didn't resolve with restarting the coda. They're advised to restart all the SHMS ROCs (as I didn't know which one is the problem) which brought the DAQ in a good state and the DAQ started successfully.

We have been running smoothly and making great progress until 7 am this morning when Hall C unexpectedly dropped out of beam permit and we are in restricted access right now. According to the MCC this happened due to some of the run/safe boxes dropped which caused the B chain dropped into restricted https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4091550. Why did R/S boxes drop? We don't know yet. MCC contacted to the SSG who are onsite to investigate. Radcon is here to sweep the hall. I will update as I know more.

Have a good weekend!

Burcu
