[Hallc_running] [Revised Logentry] RC Update - Monday Jan 16, 2023

<p><strong>*** IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SHIFT TAKERS: JLab requires wearing masks in public areas due to COVID-19 Community Level increases in the area. Please remember to wear a mask in the counting house.</strong></p><p> </p><p><strong>Sunday, Jan 15th Day Shift:</strong></p><p>- Around 11 am: Completed the CSB data taking and started the high Q2 electron running in the HMS (HMS momentum -4.08 GeV and angle 35 deg). SHMS kinematics are unchanged  (-9.2 GeV and 10 deg). Some of the preshower blocks' HVs were turned off. Hodoscope paddle HV configuration remains the same. </p><p>- Took data on 12C target at these kinematics until the end of day shift.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Sunday, Jan 15th Swing Shift:</strong></p><p>- Finished the first round of 12C, 4He, and mostly dummy running at the same kinematics.</p><p>- The swing shift crew reported there were times the beam current was lowered or tune beam was sent without notifying the Hall C shift crew. !
 </p><p> </p><p><strong>Monday, Jan 16th Owl Shift:</strong></p><p>- Very unstable beam, even at 40 uA. </p><p>- Took the first round of the Al dummy data and made progress in 3He.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Monday, Jan 16th Day Shift:</strong></p><p>- No beam as MCC is working on the beam stability/trips. Will continue taking data with 3He at the same kinematics once beam is back!</p><p> </p><p><strong>PLAN:</strong></p><p>- After completing 3He running, we will go through the same set of targets (12C, 3He, Al dummy, and 4He) one more time (about 6 hrs, 6 hrs, 2 hrs, and 6 hrs) at these SHMS/HMS settings before moving to the next HMS setting. The plan is to keep the SHMS kinematics the same for a while. The HMS momentum will change periodically to cover the "lower" x region. </p><p> </p><p>In yesterday's RC update, I mentioned having an RC today but forgetting that it's a holiday. No RC meeting today - we will meet tomorrow.</p><p>-Burcu</p>
