Hello everyone, a quick update from your new RC. 
<br>
<br>
It's been a busy day with lots of maintenance/activity in the Hall. The list of items I had for today was as follows -
<br>

<ul>
<li><s>Moving NPS to 6 meters. (from the target). Re-survey for radiation level with Radcon. 6m pin and 9m pin.</s> - <a href ="https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4213477"> Full survey </a> </li>
<li><s>NPS students will remove Column 0: PMTs + bases. Hall tech support is needed for this part.</s> <a href="https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4213606"> PMTs removed and placed on rack for survey </a> </li>
<li><s>Two new bases with the low voltage regulator bypassed (verified) will be swapped into the NPS (column 0).</s> See above log entry </li>
<li>NPS shielding installation: large sheets of borated-polyethylene will be transferred from Hall A to C by Hall C tech. (3-4m NPS position), fixed to the rails. <FONT COLOR=" #ff0000"> In progress still, one sheet in place and other being installed.</li>
<li><s>After installing the shield, reconfirm SHMS angle limit.</s> <FONT COLOR=" #ff0000"> Confirmed with one sheet in place.</li>
<li><s>Replace the NPS radiation monitoring dosimeters. (Mitch and others), 8 in column #0, 8 in cloumn #29.</s> <FONT COLOR=" #ff0000"> Done.</li>
<li><s>LED troubleshooting. (Mitch)</s> <FONT COLOR=" #ff0000"> Done.</li>
<li><s>Heidi is looking into adding an additional bandit to ensure SHMS dipole stability.</s> <a href ="https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4213580">  Log entry </a></li>

<li><s>Aaron will push a new code for the NPS chiller controller.</s> <FONT COLOR=" #ff0000"> Done.</li>

Of all the items, only one is still outstanding (and should be done soon!), a very productive day from all involved!

Once the last panel of shielding is installed, all of the planned work in the hall will be complete and we'll be ready to take data again (pending the return of the beam).

Charles has updated the short term run plan, which you can <a href ="https://hallcweb.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/Short_Term_Run-Plan"> find here </a>. Hopefully we'll get beam early swing and we can make a start on this.

We will have a meeting at the usual time and place tomorrow, I'll send out another update in the morning with details and zoom connection info.
