Smooth running in the past 24 hours in terms of beam delivery. Moller measurement started at 10 a.m. this morning as expected. And projected finishing time is 4 p.m.
Looking into the next week, there will be a scheduled maintenance downtime next Wednesday, we should plan on how to profit from this to service the detector, activities including base removal/swap, Radiation monitor replacement, shielding installation, and special test.
Many thanks to the Hall experts, quite a few issues were addressed in the past day:
1. Thanks to Bob's effort, the scalar is now displaying in between the runs. This is a significant time-saver especially during the part of the run plan when the PS needs to be changed every 20 minutes. (Thanks Bob)
2. DAQ seems to be able to handle 20% higher right, LD2 runs are currently running at 12 uA (instead of 10 uA from the previous day.)
3. 8pm, DAQ crashed in the middle of the run, Alex was contacted to the restoration. (Near future protocol on DAQ issues, Bob is the on-call for the DAQ issues).
4. 10 am, HMS Colimator GUI got stuck, reset procedure was attempted, and hall access was requested to manually reset the IOC: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4209134
5. 23 pm, The HMS Q3 software interlock tripped, and lost current, the experience shifter was able to clear the interlock and resume production: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4209643
A few new/raised concerns:
1. During the DAQ Coda configuration changes, the instruction is very unclear if a "RESET" procedure is needed. We need to make the wiki instructions clear on this part. Because of this ambiguity, we potentially might have lost 1 good run on this.
2. Part of the run plan requires changing setting, and beam current, frequently, as a result, the run sheets are not completely filled.
3. DAQ crashes during the run-ending process, in this case, the Run End log is not generated. It is not clear how to keep records for such runs
Sweeper off test results:
1. LD2, 12 uA, Strip chart: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4210027
2. LD2 Sweeper on: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4209547
3. LD2 Sweeper off: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4209596
4. Sweeper run 2272: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4209605
Plan for the near future:
1. Continue production
2. Half wave plane change at 11 a.m.
3. Moller measurement starting 8:30 a.m., last Friday for the day shift.
There will be an RC meeting at 11 a.m today.
