RC update (26th April 2024)

We continued production data-taking for the KinC_x60_2 setting yesterday morning until beam was taken away for beam studies. 

During the beam studies, opportunistic beam was available to Hall C up to 30uA but the helicity was not useable. We used the time to conduct a target density/boiling study on LH2 by adjusting the fan frequency. The results (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4288941 and https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4289172) are certainly interesting. Many thanks to Silviu and Chandan for coming over to run the study. 

Normal beam was restored around the middle of the Swing shift and we got back to production running, which continued until this morning. Just over 11 ABUs were collected in the last 24 hours. Dave Gaskell is currently setting up for a Moeller measurement. 

The plan is to continue production running at this setting until Tuesday. There will be a maintenance day on Wednesday from 6.45am.
