[Hallc_running] RHEL9 upgrade -- final round, tomorrow

Hello,

Everything works well after the RHEL9 upgrade. We will upgrade the rest of the machines that are currently using RHEL7 to RHEL9 tomorrow and apply a minor change to “cdaql1” . Here is a list of work that is planned for tomorrow:


  1.  Cdaql3 – upgrade to RHEL9; /data1 disk will be mounted as /data (to be consistent with other cdaql* machines)
  2.  Hcdesk5 – normal wipe and upgrade to RHEL9
  3.  Ccompt1 – has a degrade disk. A copy of /data1 and /data2 will be saved at the local machine. Won’t keep the current raid setup. A regular raid-1 setup will be applied. (this is a spare server)
  4.  Cdaql1 -- /data1 disk will be mounted as /data; Will power cycle the machine


The work is scheduled for tomorrow (likely happens in the morning). Those machines will be temporarily unavailable. Please reach out to me if there is conflict with other ongoing work.
