[Halld-cal] FCAL Beam Test Sketches

Hi all,

Attached is a conceptual drawing for the FCAL beam test setup and associated electronics.  This configuration would fit into 2 fADC modules (32 channels).  We may need a third depending on how we choose to implement the scalers.  I assume we will use conventional NIM or CAMAC electronics to prepare the trigger (and scalers could go in, for example, a CAMAC module).

I have not thought about how to integrate BCAL tests into this setup.  Feedback from the Regina guys would be great.  Can we make our setup more multi-purpose?

We are putting the finishing touches on a note that discusses rates, energy spread, energy values, etc. and it will appear on the portal soon.  

Elton, can you verify that the prototype as drawn will fit in the space in the alcove?  Any other comments at this stage are welcome.
