[Halld-controls] Barcode scanners

Hi,

Barcode scanners of the type I thought we need are more expensive than I 
imagined.  The kind the Property office and Shipping/Receiving uses cost 
as much as $1600 each!  I'm not sure Eugene will be happy buying two of 
them.

We need to discuss our requirements.  We can save a lot using a 
USB-based scanner and a laptop or computer.  Or we can get a base 
station model that doesn't have wireless.  Or...

Please think about how the scanner will be used in the hall, counting 
house and other buildings.  I'll put this on the agenda for the next 
controls meeting.
