[Halld-controls] Barcode scanners

Hi Elliott,

I thought there were apps for reading barcodes using the cameras in
smart phones. These can also communicate via local wireless networks. I
just bought my wife a $220 smart phone and connected it with our local
wireless at home. Seems like there might be a possible solution there
that would be considerably cheaper. Just a thought.
