HI Ilya,
I have added Tim to this e-mail. For such a test we would need
* DIRC out
* B-field ON at 1350 A (nominal)
* Detector in nominal position. (I assume this test would be useful even 
if the Forward carriage was somewhat downstream?)

It might be difficult to schedule such a test. Tim: What is required to 
move the DIRC out of position? Does the magnet need to be off?
