    Present: Fernando Barbosa, Eugene Chudakov (chair), Hovanes Egiyan,
    Senika Grayer, Mark Ito, Lubomir Pentchev, Yi Qiang, Dmitry
    Romanov, Elton Smith, Sasha Somov, Chris Stanislav, Simon Taylor,
    Tim Whitlatch, Elliott Wolin

    We limited reports only to those relevant for this week's Lehman
    Review.

Eugene

      * We have some money left over at the end of this fiscal year in
        DOPS.
      * Lehman review tomorrow
      * Writing paper with Elton to describe dangers due to shorts in the
        LASS solenoid.


Tim

      * more straws received at CMU, inspected, go ahead given to finish
        order
           + 1/2 in hand now, 1/2 to come
      * FDC clean room contract awarded
           + meeting this week to hammer out details, schedule
           + 290 k$
      * plastic pieces being prepared at vendor
      * tagger magnet: waiting for final drawings to be checked and signed
           + order will be for steel and coils
      * interview started for FDC techs,
           + 5 interviews for 3 positions


Yi

      * a week ago 13 samples irradiated at different temperatures
      * damage among samples pretty close
           + 0 C sample had slightly higher damage
      * recovery at 60 C faster
      * at 0 C, recovery very slow
      * after radiation, cooling helps still, but not as much as for
        undamaged


Sasha

      * comparison of dose with FLUKA: consistent with GEANT
           + at 1 MeV, factor of 1.5 lower; at 10 MeV, a bit higher
      * dark current on tagger SiPM's a major concern
           + Richard looking at simulation


Lubomir

      * Are electronics OK? Short answer: what we have now is OK
      * pre-amps for cathode with gain of 2.6 mV/fC will work, but at lower
        limit of this range, 0.9 next lower gain value
      * anodes also have the lowest possible gain in their range, and are
        in saturation


Fernando

      * ready to purchase the ASIC's
      * received more boards for the FDC
           + not all have arrived
           + Chris is checking them; they look good
      * flash adc 250 boards have arrived, 3 boards, one to inspect, two
        for assembly


Elliott

      * first coil will go cold in mid Oct.
      * internal coil configuration done soon
      * B-field in test lab; some concerns from residents
           + at high field, not all walkways need to be cleared
      * HMI coming along with Yi
      * Hovanes taken over what Wesley was doing, EPICS
      * will give notice to Cryo Group soon, they want two weeks notice


Elton

      * suggests electronics show and tell for Lehman committee
           + 72 channel FADC
           + discriminator
           + some trigger board
