Eugene

* budget
+ we have been re-assured that lay-offs are the last resort
+ another two weeks of a continuing resolution
+ Senate proposal not as hard on us as that of House, but still
would have big impact
* tornado drill tomorrow
+ no audible alarm
+ signal on weather channels
+ 9:45 am
+ CEBAF Center not tornado safe
+ we must go downstairs, or in stair well
* 12 GeV Project
+ things moving, situation not too bad
+ must push FDC construction
+ BCAL read-out
o neither Hamamatsu nor Kuraray are located in area hit by
earthquake, but there still may be effects
+ SiPM turns out to be big project, cooling, etc.
+ tagger magnet soon to be awarded
* online system
+ a lot to do to complete design
+ David, Hovanes, and Elliott will work on this
+ goal to make a written plan for all components
+ Elliott: there will be a discussion at online meeting
* space
+ we have CC 117 and EEL 126 and that is all we will have for
while
+ use needs to be planned
+ lots of projects that need space


Beni

* has collected quotations for gas system
+ Tim: with the ETC changes, gas systems has been delayed from
original scheduling to 1.5 years from now


Mark

* clasweb1.jlab.org, our web and database server, will be upgraded to
a new machine during the March 22 maintenance period.


Elton

* response from Santa Maria came in
* may need to do a procurement for light guides
+ flooding problems at Plastic Craft in Connecticut
+ may want to do a open solicitation


Tim

* activities in hall
+ ordered stands for collimator cave, due here April 11
+ upstream platform out for bid, hope to award April 1
+ low conductivity water work will start in Hall soon
+ design underway for floor plate, to cover trench where FCAL
carriage rails will run
+ solenoid magnet: to Hall in October or November
+ sweep magnet from FEL ready to go into collimator cave
+ vacuum chambers ready to be installed
* counting house should be ready in the Fall


Yi

* first article SiPM's have arrived
* 80 samples, looked at 11 so far
* so far so good
