* work starts for the AWP
* some restrictions for this fiscal year, cannot overspend the budget
* need not sqeeze WBS-by-WBS, but sum must fit
* two days left to do this
* will be coming around to consult with individuals in charge of
budget areas

* software review
+ email sent soliciting work done and work anticipated from
workers
+ another meeting this week on cross hall collaboration, called
by Rolf
o summaries of meetings sent out, some feedback from others
* work on open house progresses
+ working on a new poster
+ lower-level poster than previous one, suitable for general
public
* BCAL simulation
+ have come a long way, but not done yet
* getting software running on MacOS

* inventory system installed
+ some updates being added
+ a version is up and available
+ code is from Hall B, area for co-development

* readout for pair spectrometer prototype done
* readout for BCAL test practically done
+ U-board being assembled, ready tomorrow
+ crate for biasing power supply ready to go
* modules being procured
+ Cody is working on procurement for fADC-125's
o Kathleen Jones has been contacted
o PR should come out this week
+ fADC-250's are out for assembly

* worked on new Linux server set-up, RedHat Enterprise Linux 6
+ fair size raid, for data
+ use as source of online software
+ CPU's can mount it and boot from it
+ EPICS installed
+ PXE booting not working yet
+ parititions
o one large, not backed up
o another for home areas, snapshot taken every night

* Vanik Kakoyan getting up to speed with EPICS
+ prepared application for discriminators for BCAL beam test

+ working on HV for CAEN supplies
* Counting house
+ not much progress on UPS installation
o waiting for Paul Powers to bring 480 power into rack room
o Giles running this issue
+ power distribution for racks discussed
o power limited by cooling, 62 kW, single chilling module
o amount of power brought in: 400 A at 110 V plus double
that on UPS
+ Giles has specs on outlets desired
o match to breakers, etc.
* Fernando: UPS ordered without noise considerations considered
+ will not feed circuits in the Hall
* Eugene wondered about a list of end-of-year purchases should funds
become available

* getting ready for mini-BCAL beam test
+ glued all light guides on
+ got LED boards from Athens, glued them on
+ light guides slightly over-sized, by about 1/2 mm
+ Scot measured all light guides, look slightly over-sized
+ go-no-go gauges may be needed
+ tooling jig also extends beyond edge a bit
+ Santa Maria making more light guides now
+ electronics ready by tomorrow
+ Carl Zorn and Yi Qiang working on testing SiPM's
+ start hooking up to DAQ on Wed.
+ LED controller board not yet in hand
+ one LED broke off

* working in EEL 126 looking at oxygen in chamber
+ understand bubbler now
+ went to higher flow over the weekend
+ now a lot less oxygen, about 1%
+ chamber efficiency 90-100%
+ problem may be trapped pockets of oxygen
o change operating parameters, pump on chamber
o changes differential pressure between planes
o no significant improvement proven
* working on talk for DIS

* offline meeting: decided to use CLHEP as official package
* working on a new sim-recon release

* 2 weeks from now pole pieces for pair spectrometer magnet come in
* nitrogen shield for solenoid cryo can done
* grouted track for FCAL platform
* vendor ordered materials for tagger vacuum chamber
* pair spec vacuum chamber out for bid
* Giles working on grounding plan in Hall
* Giles also working on power distribution plan for Hall
* collimator shielding design in progress

* track finding
+ change in CDC: reduces false track candidates for
configurations where tracks may share hits
+ straight track fitting being worked on
Lubomir
* oxygen problem
+ coming from outside, via diffusion, against flow
+ o-rings suspect
o foam core
o try to increase compression
o try aluminum rods instead of plastic, to take the tension
+ 1/2-cell dummy test chamber next to real one
o 0.27% previously seen inside of test chamber
o 0.7% seen after o-ring
+ will check oxygen in second package at Blue Crab
* production
+ 3rd package, 3 cells installed, 3rd cell now working
+ tomorrow add 4th cell

* BCAL beam test work
+ running two FADC boards
* pair spectrometer work
+ boards done
+ bring to hall
+ test with mini-BCAL
+ able to change thresholds, DAC levels remotely

* working on FCAL beam test
+ over weekend, one adc missing in read-out
+ working not long ago
+ started working again after re-seating boards
+ second integrated Hall B run with tagger in read-out
o Sergey Boyarinov will assist
o on Thursday
o electron energy will change from 120 to 250 MeV because
of beam energy change
+ cut off from Hall B after that
