Elton

      * vacuum leak in solenoid coils fixed
      * nitrogen leak near chimney being tracked down
      * all BCAL modules stacked
           + will be surveyed on Fri.
           + went together well, 1 or 2 mm out-of-round
      * Alan Toro joins us from Santa Maria, will be working on several
        electronics-related tasks, will be here until mid-Jan.

Tim

      * replacing pop-off plates on the vacuum chambers[?]
      * nitrogen leak look like in an unreachable place, small leak, will
        not take magnet apart to fix

Lubomir

      * FDC in EEL 126 now
           + being flushed with gas
           + HV test soon
           + made the move from Blue Crab with no known issues
      * working on spare package
           + has wider cells for PID studies
           + grounding worked over, was not done at Blue Crab
           + must read-out a 20 microsecond window, caused problem with
             CODA
      * disposition of the clean room at Blue Crab not clear, may be sold

Nerses

      * finished device support for monitoring detectors
           + can create histograms of voltages currents
      * implemented graphics for CDC control

Mark I.

      * start counter
           + re-test of latest batch of scintillator shows no degradation
             after two months, in contrast to previous batch
           + detector PCBs being populated by Nick
      * TOF
           + construction continues at a good pace
           + CAEN TDC broke, we are looking into loaning one to FSU to keep
             them going while theirs is repaired

Sascha

      * Fixed array
           + 5 PMT assemblies done by Chris, with electronics, no
             after-pulses, they look good
           + waiting on connectors
           + Chris can go at 5 counters per day, there are 250 counters
             total
           + scintillators and light guides from Eljen are here
           + gluing done by Eljen
           + Natalie will be working on testing
           + Bill done with mounting and gluing fixtures
      * pair spectrometer fine-grained array
           + Anatoly is done gluing fibers to scintillators
           + fixture for mounting will be here this week
      * diamond contract PR for UConn signed, an amendment to current
        contract

Simon

      * working on hit selection algorithm
      * improving FDC geometry specification
      * expecting to get code from Paul Mattione for dealing with curling
        tracks in the CDC

Mark D.

      * has a NIM crate for pulsing FADCs, in preparation for read-out as a
        DAQ exercise

Vanik

      * wrote GUI for CDC
           + convenient, can change parameters, control individual channels
           + both HV and LV

Sergey

      * inventory database ready to do the merge of two databases into one
      * ready to use, though some improvements could be contemplated

Hovanes

      * Yi got goniometer into FEL building
           + Vanik wrote scanning software
           + can run scans, can connect to the control system
           + some inconsistencies seen, need to fix hardware, laser system
             in particular
      * counting house
           + all consoles finished, computers installed in office area
           + monitors[?] for SWIS to come
           + no videoconferencing capability yet
           + event builder, EMUs, L3 farm node: order not visible in system
             yet, should have been ordered a month ago, joint order with
             SciComp farm nodes
