Present: Eugene Chudakov (chair), Hovanes Egiyan, Sergey Furletov, Mark

    Announcements, Eugene

  * Appraisals are due tomorrow for the calibration meeting. If you have
    comments on yours, tell Eugene so that it can be discussed.
  * The budget for FY16 has been adjusted to provide for possible
    sequestration.
  * The accelerator schedule is out. Management would like to have
    readiness reviews done a year and a half in advance. Need to have a
    credible plan; changes will have to be approved.
  * There have been recent problems with Smart Cards at the Lab. Hall D
    staff appear not be affected.


    Solenoid, Tim

  * All of the reworking of the helium circuit is done. No leaks. MLI
    being put on now.
  * There is a leak along the vapor cooled leads. A fix will be
    attempted tomorrow.
  * The nitrogen circuit is being put back together.
  * They are still working on the Hall D refrigerator. May do some
    helium circulation soon. On track for cooldown first week of December.


    Run Preparations


      Beamline, Tim

  * Beamline is together and pumping down except for the polarimeter


      CDC, Beni

  * HV tripped, looks like a broken wire, target will be retracted to
    allow HV fix. We have lost two wires in the past few months.


      FCAL, Elton

  * About 50 bases were replaced, all of the problem ones. They are
    being checked out now.
  * 20 bases were sent to IU. Problem found with extra solder under a
    particular resistor, caused base to switch on and off if certain
    voltage out of range. Could be temperature dependent.
  * Hovanes: 4 newly bad bases found.


      Meetings

  * We will have run-prep meetings Tue. and Thu. this week. David will
    chair them.


    Post-Doc Search, Eugene

  * We are looking to fill two positions. Announcements on interviews
    will go out this week. Duties:
     1. data analysis, help with DIRC
     2. data analysis, wire chambers, slow controls
