Whitlatch, Beni Zihlmann

    Eugene

  * publications
      o if an outside collaborator is the corresponding author a copy
        should be sent to JLab and entered into the system
      o if a Lab staff member is the corresponding author, then the Lab
        needs to approve the publication as well

    David

  * new version of JANA
      o implement sensible exit status values
      o other bug fixes, including changing the event number from 32 to
        64 bits
  * run period name will change this week
      o clearing out space on raid disk 1
  * developing event source for high rate testing
      o seeing limitation on memory-to-memory transfers

    Tim

  * solenoid
      o met with Cryo today
      o pumping and purging underway
      o tomorrow U-tubes go back in
      o coils 1,2,3 buttoned up, coil 4 tomorrow
      o ready for cool down at end of the week
  * beamline
      o hooked up and pumping
      o secondary collimator needs survey
  * Hall temperature monitoring now done from north side of solenoid
      o +/- 1 degree F over last day or so

    Simon

  * working on straw deformation corrections with Mike Staib
  * doing simulations for rare eta decays
  * doing simulations for the K-long letter of intent

    Alexandre

  * coming up to speed with accelerator preparations for the coming run

    Sascha

  * modifying various configurations
      o read-out boards
      o synch events
      o transition radiation detector crate (with start counter)
  * global trigger debugging
      o BCAL LED trigger distribution
  * new trigger supervisor firmware testing
  * simulation for rare eta decays
      o work with Ilya Larin
      o putting in realistic geometry
  * Eugene: flux from pair spectrometer, need rough efficiency estimate

    Dmitry

  * implementing user requests for CCDB
      o next release coming soon
      o working with Sean on improvements to the Python API
      o adding documentation on GitHub site
  * re-establishing the RCDB
      o data being written by CODA now, work with Sergey F.
      o bringing up GUI

    Mark D.

  * new temperature control system
      o re-establish feed-back system
  * new project: study of BCAL clustering algorithm
      o many ideas have been proposed, few tested
          + do charged both charged an neutral clustering, decide on
            which to use based on track matching
          + once charged track matching done, revisit clustering decisions
      o for single photons in simulation, at certain angles and
        energies, as many as 30% of the time multiple clusters are found

    Mark I.

  * sim1
      o 30% of runs fail with long hdgeant execution time
  * data challenge 3
      o long runs with EVIO files will seg fault
  * new release of sim-recon
      o meant for use by simulation
      o problem identified by Paul; BCAL timing issue, need to fix
        before simulation production

    Hovanes

  * FCAL voltage controls
      o make it similar to BCAL and TOF systems
  * new readout for beam profiler
      o need to check with source; make sure cabling OK
  * work on Hot Checkout with motor systems

    Beni

  * work done on energy calibration for TOF (on back burner now)
  * CDC readiness work
  * integrate knocking sensors into PXI
  * next week: chair review committee for Dark Light

    Lubomir

  * resolution now 150 microns for cathodes, a bit less for wires
  * cosmic data checked
      o with Luke
      o fewer bad channels than before
      o about 0.5% for cathodes
  * FDC ready to go
      o one bad HV channel, trips, will condition
  * using new chiller for about a month now, without incident
  * spare package ready to go

    Paul

  * scalar GUIs all done
      o only main GUI needs any work
  * RF: source of timing jitter still unknown
      o will try to measure with special high resolution F1-TDC
  * offline monitoring
      o Kei leaving, knowledge being transferred
  * Spring Analysis Workshop
      o JSA giving $2500, Lab will contribute $2500

    Justin

  * DIRC review: still waiting on report from committee
      o working from oral recommendations, will resubmit project
        management plan
      o goal: before end of year
